Anti-social behaviour policy statement 2024-27 - Behaviour not regarded as anit-social behaviour

Some behaviour, even though it may cause nuisance to individuals, is not regarded as ASB. 

As mentioned in Help with anti-social behaviour for housing tenants (GOV.UK), this can include:

  • one-off parties and barbecues
  • infrequent and occasional noise or disturbances
  • children’s play
  • occasional dog barking
  • excessive noise from domestic appliances (eg washing machines, vacuum cleaners)
  • minor vehicle repairs
  • gossip
  • escalated disputes
